Course:
Corrosion control for a greener world
– A short course on theory and practice
7 & 8 October 2024
Technical University of Denmark
Meeting Center, Room S10 and S12
Anker Engelunds Vej 1
2800 Lyngby
Registration deadline 24 September 2024
The idea of this corrosion course is to provide a good theoretical plus practical understanding of corrosion and how corrosion can be identified, monitored, and controlled using a combination of lectures and hands-on experimental sessions.
Hence the course will be suitable both for research students as well as for persons employed in industry involved in material related aspects, material selection, corrosion issues at a product level, and corrosion prediction and control. The level of the course will be preliminary to medium so that it will be suitable for both beginners and those who wish to enhance their knowledge on corrosion in practice.
Each theory part of the course will be complimented with practical exercises and case studies. Special focus of the course will be to elaborate on how corrosion is a very important issue in relation with green transition technologies for materials are an important part. Reducing corrosion means conservation resources, while it provides efficient and long lasting products, and less damaging to environment.
A preliminary listing of programme is below, although it might be subjected to some modifications.
