The digital twin of injection moulding will be presented for the case of a thin-walled part in this free webinar.

The generation of digital data representing the physical process is realized by process monitoring, machine data, in-mould visualization, and numerical simulation. The experimental validation of the thin-wall injection moulding simulation will also be presented.

Guido Tosello will present the development of the injection moulding digital twin, the integration of physical and virtual data, and the experimental validation of the simulation.

Guido Tosello is PhD and Associate Professor at DTU Mechanical Engineering.

Guido has 12+ years of research experience in the analysis, characterization, monitoring, control, optimization and simulation of precision molding processes at micro/nano scales of thermoplastic materials.
